Processors or CPUs are the core of any all-in-one PC and have the most significant effect on overall computing performance. Choosing a processor depends on the types of applications that your business uses as well as your budget. For example, if you use a lot of multimedia applications on a regular basis, a more powerful and faster processor will be needed. Cybernet uses Intel’s series of processors in our all-in-one PCs because they have the most reliable and proven technology for business applications, and offer the widest range of processors to fit any business need.
The Intel i-Series processors are the newest set of CPUs targeted for enterprise computing, and they are based on a new Intel architecture called Sandy Bridge that brings improved overall computing performance. The i3, i5 and i7 processors are the low-end, mid-range, and high-end products, respectively, based on price and performance. The Core i3 processor has an integrated graphics processor with a clock speed of 1100 MHz. The i5 has both a dual-core version (600 series) with an integrated graphics processor and a quad-core (700 series) that does not. The quad-core 700 series i5 and the i7 don’t have integrated graphics, but if either of these processors is chosen, Cybernet builds in a separate ATI Mobility GPU into the unit to provide that functionality. Cybernet offers the following Intel processors for your all-in-one PC. Choose the one that’s right for you, and Cybernet will integrate it into your all-in-one PC to provide a truly customized solution.
Intel® Core™ i3-540 Processor (4M Cache, 3.06GHz)
Intel® Core™ i5-650 Processor (4M Cache, 3.20GHz)
Intel® Core™ i5-660 Processor (4M Cache, 3.33GHz)

Random Access Memory (RAM) functions as the brain of the computer, storing information from your operating system, applications and data files. The amount of memory you have determines how many programs can be executed at one time and how much data can be readily available to a program. The more memory you have, the more programs you can run in parallel while keeping your system running smoothly. The types of memory have evolved along with chip technology and with the demand created by today’s software applications and operating systems. DDR stands for Double Data Rate memory, the type of memory that’s been around for many years. DDR2 was the next generation of memory, performing faster than DDR, with less energy consumption. DDR3 performs even faster, also with less energy consumption. DDR2 supports I/O bus clock speeds up to 800 MHz, and DDR3 supports speeds up to 1333Mhz.
Memory is physically in the form of a Dual In-line Memory Module (DIMM) that fits into slots on a motherboard. Memory must be compatible with the motherboard of the computer as well as the operating system that will be used. The motherboard is limited in the number of DIMM memory slots along with the maximum amount of memory it can support. The 32-bit versions of Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7 support up to 4GB of RAM. If you need more than 4GB of RAM, you need to use the 64-bit version of Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7. The memory options are shown below.
2GB DDR3/1333MHz SO-DIMM
4GB DDR3/1333MHz SO-DIMM
6GB DDR3/1333MHz, 1x2GB + 1x4GB
8GB DDR3/1333MHz, 2x4GB

Hard drives are critical to the basic functionality of your all-in-one PC. A hard drive is a mass storage device that is used to store permanent data, such as the computer operating system, programs, and user files. Data on hard drives can be erases or overwritten. The hard drive is a non-volatile storage device, which means that it does not require a constant power supply to retain the data stored on it. A hard drive is mechanical, with moving parts including disks with a magnetic coating, read/write heads and other mechanical parts. Hard drive speeds are measured in revolutions per minute, or RPM. The higher the RPM, the faster the performance of the drive. Solid state drives are a newer type of drive that contains no moving parts. Solid state drives have much greater reliability because they have no mechanical parts that deteriorate over time, as is often the case with hard drives. A solid state drive is made up of a CPU, its own memory bus, and a battery card. Because they contain their own CPUs to manage data storage, they are a lot faster than conventional hard disks. Solid state drives also consume much less power than traditional hard drives because there are no mechanical parts that move. Hard drives have varying storage capacities, measured in megabytes or gigabytes. Today’s complex software programs and operating systems require higher storage capacity, so you’ll want to select one that meets the needs of all your applications.
