Banking on Cybernet!
Greg recalls that early testing of the ZPC was conducted with “ITI Premier Teller,” the bank teller’s software of choice. The results were impressive with the ZPC seemingly tackling a full range of tasks with incomparable ease. More recently, the bank has incorporated a new module from ITI named “Back Counter Capture.” It initially tested the software on several ZPC models located in their data center. As Greg hoped, the software and computer performed with flawless compatibility. Encouraged by the results, the SNBO team installed the software throughout their branch offices.
Security National Bank of Omaha (SNBO), as one of Omaha’s leading financial institutions, SNBO provides a full range of banking services with numerous branches operating throughout this bustling community.
SNBO’s search for a new computing system began several years ago. According to Greg Denoyer, IT Manager at SNBO required a reliable computer capable of handling the high-capacity demands of the institution’s teller stations. Already familiar with Cybernet, Greg and his team evaluated a number of the company’s PCs. SNBO was impressed by the outstanding performance, dependability and user-friendliness of the ZPC, an all-in-one computer in a keyboard. So they purchased several of these units. As expected, the computers met the team’s high expectations. Eager to incorporate the advantages of the ZPC throughout the entire bank, SNBO bought a number of additional units. During the past few years, this bank has been strengthening its computing capabilities by continuously adding new ZPCs to its branches.

The ZPC utilizes a physical configuration specifically designed to maximize the functionality of teller stations. This is accomplished through an interconnected system of computers, printers, mice and networks. Although opting for a standard configuration, the bank consistently enhances performance by adding memory as needed.
On the software side, the configuration consists of Windows XP (installed by Cybernet up to the point of entering the product’s license number). In addition, the software setup includes a Web browser, basic office applications and “ITI Premier Teller” provided by the bank’s server.
The software and hardware configuration has enabled tellers to perform a myriad of tasks with an A+ efficiency. Tellers are especially pleased with the ease of getting started each day. Since the ZPC remains on throughout the night, tellers simply need to login to be in business.
From the earliest testing, Greg and his team have been more than satisfied with the ZPC’s performance and reliability. Their admiration has only grown over the years. Greg was especially impressed by the power supplies of the bank’s first set of ZPCs. Incredibly, the components lasted for four straight years of uninterrupted 24/7 service.
Certainly, the ZPC holds a major edge over their previous teller system. Prior to the introduction of the Cybernet model, SNBO had been using traditional desktop PCs. Unfortunately, these conventional units only added to the overcrowding of teller stations. Thanks to the ZPC’s efficient compactness, teller stations are afforded roominess to spare.
Combining performance, compatibility, reliability, user-friendliness and compactness into a single unit, the ZPC has more than met the expectations of SNBO. Greg and his team are certain that the institution will be banking on Cybernet for a long time to come.
