The CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC is 60601-1 certified for near patient use.
This Medical PC has the power and features of a 22" inch All in One PC but is the size of a tablet. It is fanless, with an Intel Quad Core J1900 CPU and 4GB DDR3L/1600MHz SO-DIMM upgradeable to 8GB. Available with optional Smart Card Reader, Barcode Scanner & RFID Reader.
Unlike the CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC, traditional desktop PCs have to be located within six feet of a power outlet. The CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC can run on Power over Ethernet giving medical facilities greater flexibility as to where the device can be located. Device placement is only limited by the length of the Ethernet cable which can be up to 328 feet long without any signal loss.
The CyberMed M10's use of Power over Ethernet allows for greater flexibility going forward as the device can be moved where needed rather than being limited to within six feet of a power outlet.
Instead of having multiple cables to deliver the data and the power to a computer, the CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC uses only the Ethernet cord. No more unsightly and unsafe cables from the PC to the power outlet. One cable – that's it.
Medical facilities could place a computer in every patient room with only an Ethernet cable going to each device.
Low Power Consumption: The CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC uses approximately half of the power of a traditional desktop computer. This is because of the highly efficient use of Power over Ethernet. Depending upon your configuration and usage, the cost to power an average desktop can run hundreds of dollars per year. Reducing by 50% the electrical costs of running your computers can result in significant savings particularly in hospitals where a device is often used 24x7. Current electrical costs of running computers in hospitals account for 4% of the hospital's total power costs. Cutting that 4% in half would be considerable.
Less Electrical Installations: The use of PoE medical computers can reduce the need to install electrical wiring & outlets throughout a facility. It can also reduce the overall construction costs of having to embed power lines in the walls or underground, or having to get a construction license for adding / modifying power lines.
When upgrading to an EMR, PACs, VoIP or mobile, a recent study shows that hospitals have to upgrade their power and cooling support 87% of the time within one year of implementation. With PoE computers, that cost may be able to be reduced or postponed.
Because of the CyberMed M10's use of PoE, there aren't any power cables except for the Ethernet cord. This reduces the risk of people tripping over cables and reduces cable clutter. The use of electrical cords and extension cords with standard PCs also increases the likelihood of shock or electrical fires. With the use of Power over Ethernet, the power to run computers comes via the Ethernet cable reducing the risk of electrical hazards.
The CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC has three RS232 ports to support your legacy hardware. No need to update your legacy applications until it makes sense to do so.
With Power over Ethernet, having an internal battery on each device for power outages is not necessary. As long as the server is up, PoE computers will have power. This means, in the event of a power outage, the CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC will still be powered.
The CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC is built with industrial grade components to handle 24x7 use without failing. Cybernet computers have a less than 2% annual failure rate. In 2015, the failure rate of Cybernet computers was less than 1.5%.
Cybernet's computers have a product life cycle of 3 – 5 years. This means that you can purchase additional units of the exact same computer several years from now, including the CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC. Consumer-grade PC manufacturers come out with a new model every six months which means replacing their computers with a different model. This results in a variety of PC models being used with different software, different operating systems and an increased burden on IT departments.
Cybernet's long product life cycle gives medical facilities the ability to purchase additional units of the same computer - for years. This simplifies the demands on IT and saves IT resources.
The CyberMed M10 is the size of a tablet but has the full functionality of a desktop computer. It is ideal for use as an embedded computer by medical device manufacturers.
The Power over Ethernet is an additional feature that makes it a good fit as an embedded PC. It has low power consumption so it can run off a battery or an Ethernet connection.
The CyberMed M10 is ideal for patient bedside use. While it is the size of a tablet, it is a powerful All in One Computer. The CyberMed M10 features:
Patient bedside computers are used almost continuously by patients and medical staff. This requires a durable & reliable computer. Cybernet's computers are built with industrial grade components to stand up to the beating that computers often take in a healthcare environment. Also, as the CyberMed M10 PoE Medical PC draws its power through the Ethernet connection, the savings on electrical costs over a standard PC is substantial.
