All in one PCs are similar to desktop computer systems. The difference lies on the quantity of the components, and not on the function or the features. These all in one computer systems have integrated monitor and computer cases. Desktop computer systems, on the other hand, have separate monitor and computer cases.

The all in one computer system

Three main components comprise a computer system. These are the monitor, the input devices, and the computer case. Computer companies, however, began integrating two of the main components: the monitor and the computer case. This resulted to an all-in-one computer system, which is more expensive than a standard computer system. These include the Apple iMAC, which is considered as the most successful. An all in one PC requires a few cables compared to desktop computer systems. They do not require a power cord for the display or a cable for the monitor.

All in one PCs have components such as memory, drives, and processors that are similar to what notebook computers use. This is because an all in one PC is small, requiring less power and generating less heat.

Advantages and drawbacks

One disadvantage of all in one PCs is that upgrades are sometimes limited to the memory component since these have smaller sizes. Unlike desktop computer systems that have separate components, access to the different components of an all in one PC can be difficult.

The small size of these PCs enables them to be placed in limited spaces. Notebook computers, however, have improved over the years that these PCs have been surpassed. Notebook computers are considered more flexible. Notebook computers can be placed anywhere unlike an all in one PC that is restricted to a desktop. Notebook computers can also be used even without power and only depending on the battery.

Both all-in-one PCs and notebook computers have the same levels of performance, though.
However, an  all in one PC is cost-effective. The manufacturing cost for all in one computer systems are relatively inexpensive because these take less power, shock, and space.

Cybernet, a provider of space-saving technology, offers all-in-one computer systems. These all-in-one PCs are available in two types. Cybernet has all-in-one computer systems that are available inside a monitor or a keyboard. These all-in-one pc offerings are ideal for a number of different applications, from manufacturing plants to small ticket booths to retail and even to libraries, to name a few.
