Cybernet Releases New Medical Grade PC - CyberMed M17S

Irvine, CA 1/10/18 – Cybernet Manufacturing has announced the release of a new medical grade computer, the CyberMed M17S. The CyberMed M17S runs the powerful 6th generation Intel Skylake processor, is water and dust resistant and is rated EN60601-1, an important medical grade designation that encompasses electrical and radiation emissions for near patient use.

The CyberMed M17S is the first of several new product releases planned by Cybernet for 2018. This will follow up a busy 2017 in which the Irvine based computer manufacturing company released a number of new devices, including the world’s first medical grade hot swap battery computer with an Ultra 4K HD display. The CyberMed M17S will replace the iOne-MP17ix, which has been popular with medical device manufacturers looking for an integrated computer for their devices.

“We had a lot of success with the iOne-MP17ix in the medical device space. Some of the largest medical device manufacturers in the world have been using our older model for years,” said Ali Bagheri, VP of Global Operations at Cybernet. “Recently, we’ve been getting feedback from our customers that they needed a computer that had a 4:3 display, but also was equipped with a more powerful processor. That’s why we developed the CyberMed M17S.”

In addition to being medical grade certified, the CyberMed M17S also comes with integrated RFID and biometric readers for added log in security, protecting valuable patient data from potential cyber-attacks. The CyberMed M17S has gone into mass production as of Q1 of 2018.
