When I turn on my PC, I get a long beep.

Cause - The memory and/or CPU could be loose and may need to be re-seated into their respective slots

1. First and foremost, clear the CMOS on the unit. For assistance, refer to the model-specific article for instructions on clearing the CMOS.

2. If this does not help, open up the PC and inspect the RAM banks to see if there is any obvious damage or movement of that component.

3. Be sure to unplug each RAM stick completely from the memory slot, and then re-seat it back into the slot firmly.

4. If the problem still persists, re-seat the CPU as well. Handle the Heat Sink with caution as the spring loaded screws can pop out very easily.
