The British Columbia Taiwan Office & MindfulGarden Partner with Cybernet For Better Delirium Treatment Methods

August 25, 2025

This summer, Cybernet Manufacturing has partnered with the delirium management technology provider MindfulGarden to deliver care for patients suffering from delirium across Canada. By using MindfulGarden’s biofeedback platform for managing delirium running on the CyberMed G24 medical panel PC, healthcare providers in British Columbia can treat patients without relying on physical restraints or psychotropic drugs.

Delirium is a serious medical condition characterized by a state of extreme confusion and disorientation, and certain medications, infections, or a lack of sleep can cause it. In the U.S. alone, 7 million Americans suffer from delirium while hospitalized every year. While in a delirious state, patients are a threat to both themselves and others around them, potentially yanking out IV lines, trying to get up while still healing from injuries, or attacking hospital staff.

MindfulGarden’s tools are designed to soothe delirious patients and ease them into a more relaxed state without having to tie them to the bed or drug them. By tracking the patient’s condition via biometric distress signals such as movement and vocalizations, MindfulGarden plays a variety of soothing visualizations and sounds designed to distract and de-escalate dangerous behaviors.

The CyberMed G24 plays double-duty in this role by both supporting the various biometric sensors that gather data, as well as using its large display to play the imagery designed to counter the patient’s agitation. Venus Chen, the Managing Director at the British Columbia Taiwan Office, also appreciates the G24’s hot-swappable batteries and mobile form factor, which make it easier to use the computer exactly where it is needed.

Cybernet Manufacturing is proud to work with partners dedicated to helping patients in need, and to see our devices already making an impact across Canada. Future deployments of MindfulGarden’s platform in Asia are already being explored, and we will be ready to help there as well.
