Executive Leadership
Hossein AsadiChief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Cybernet Manufacturing, Hossein Asadi provides executive leadership across global operations, product strategy, and international expansion. Hossein holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, along with an MBA.
Earlier in his career, Hossein founded Advanced Micro Digital in 1982 and worked on early bus-based computing architectures, including S-100 bus technology and the first S-100 Single Board Computer. This experience established a strong technical foundation that continues to inform his approach to system design and product development.
Since co-founding Cybernet in 1996, Hossein has been closely involved in early product innovation, including the development of integrated PC form factors and early Windows-based all-in-one systems. These efforts helped shape Cybernet's long-standing expertise in compact, purpose-built computing platforms, which later evolved into medical-grade and industrial computing systems.
Hossein travels extensively and remains actively involved in Cybernet's global operations, including oversight of engineering activities in Taiwan and manufacturing operations in Asia, with a focus on innovation, quality, and consistent execution.
Mohamad AsadiPresident
Mohamad Asadi is a co-founder of Cybernet Manufacturing and serves as President, bringing more than four decades of global manufacturing experience to the company. As one of the original architects of Cybernet's operations, he has played a central role in building the company's production and supply chain infrastructure since its founding in 1996.
In his day-to-day role, Mohamad oversees procurement, logistics, production, and supply chain operations, with a strong focus on execution, supplier coordination, and manufacturing continuity. He works closely with internal teams and global partners to ensure Cybernet's production runs efficiently and reliably, supporting both standard and custom product lines.
Prior to co-founding Cybernet, Mohamad held senior operational leadership positions, including Vice President of Supply Chain at Measurement Control Systems, where he developed deep expertise in manufacturing operations and global sourcing.
He holds a Master's degree in Business Economics from the University of Tehran.
Ali BagheriSenior Vice President, Global Operations
Ali Bagheri brings more than four decades of experience in the computer hardware industry, spanning engineering, operations, and global leadership. As a co-founder and Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Cybernet Manufacturing, he helps guide the company's strategic direction, oversees product development, and supports growth across medical, rugged, and industrial computing markets worldwide.
With a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's in Business Administration with a focus in Finance, Ali brings a balanced perspective that connects technical depth with financial and operational judgment, translating innovation into practical, market-ready solutions for demanding environments.
Prior to Cybernet, from 1991 to 1994, Ali served as Managing Director of European Operations at Advanced Interconnect Europe Limited, where he established and expanded the company's presence across multiple European markets. Earlier in his career, he was a lead engineer at Delta Engineering, where he led the design of multi-user expansion hardware for early IBM PC systems, including CPU- and memory-based slave boards and expansion chassis that enabled up to 32 users to operate from a single PC over extended distances.

Bijan ElahiAward Winning International Educator, Consultant, and Author
Bijan Elahi is an internationally recognized expert in medical device safety and risk management, with more than 30 years of experience working with both global medical device companies and emerging startups. He has served as a Technical Fellow and as Corporate Advisor on safety risk management at Medtronic, helping shape risk strategy at the highest levels.
He is the founder of MedTech Safety, Inc., an education and advisory firm focused on medical device risk management. Over the course of his career, he has educated more than 10,000 professionals worldwide and is a frequent speaker at international conferences. Bijan is also a contributor to ISO 14971, the international standard for the application of risk management to medical devices, and is the author of the best-selling book Safety Risk Management for Medical Devices, published by Elsevier.
In academia, at the invitation of the FDA, he teaches a graduate-level course on medical device risk management at Drexel University, serving as an affiliate professor. He also lectures at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands teaching risk management to doctoral engineering students.
Earlier in his career, Bijan was a systems engineer on the NASA Space Shuttle program. He holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering with distinction from Iowa State University.
Dr. Jefferson W. ChenNeurological Surgeon at the University of California, Irvine
Dr. Jefferson W. Chen is a board-certified neurological surgeon at the University of California, Irvine, where he has practiced for over a decade. He also holds certifications in neurocritical care and neuro-oncology and remains active in both clinical practice and research.
Dr. Chen earned his B.S. and M.S. in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology and his MD/PhD from Johns Hopkins University as part of the NIH Medical Scientist Training Program. He completed neurosurgical residency training at UC San Diego and advanced fellowship training in neurovascular and skull base surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute.
His clinical focus includes traumatic brain injury, stroke, brain tumors, and normal pressure hydrocephalus. He is a recognized leader in multimodal brain monitoring and advanced surgical access technologies, bringing deep experience in high-acuity hospital environments where reliability, safety, and precision are essential.
Dr. Chen's work in intensive care units, operating rooms, and neurological trauma settings provides Cybernet with valuable insight into medical computing performance in real-world patient proximity applications. His perspective supports the continued development of high-performance medical computer systems used in critical care, surgical, and advanced imaging environments.
Dr. Naser RahbarDiagnostic and Interventional Radiologist
Dr. Naser Rahbar is a board-certified diagnostic and interventional radiologist with more than four decades of clinical, academic, and leadership experience. He completed advanced radiology training at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, where he also served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Rahbar has directed radiology services across multiple hospitals in Orange County and has served as Chief of Radiology in several acute-care facilities. He currently provides diagnostic, interventional, and teleradiology services for major medical centers and imaging networks throughout California.
A Fellow of the American College of Radiology (FACR), Dr. Rahbar brings deep expertise in MRI, CT, neuroradiology, interventional imaging, and hospital-based imaging workflow. His career has consistently centered on the integration of advanced imaging technologies into real-world clinical environments.
As a Board Advisor to Cybernet, Dr. Rahbar provides critical insight into radiology workstations, PACS integration, high-resolution medical displays, and patient-proximity computing. His frontline hospital experience helps ensure Cybernet's medical computers are designed for reliability, image clarity, compliance, and seamless performance in mission-critical healthcare settings.
Dr. Tarek AboushetaOrthodontist
Dr. Tarek Abousheta is a board-certified orthodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, practicing at Irvine Orthodontics & Children's Dentistry in Irvine, California. His clinical work centers around advanced digital imaging, 3D modeling, and technology-driven treatment planning that moves beyond traditional orthodontic approaches.
Dr. Abousheta earned his Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery from the University of Alexandria and completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC. He went on to receive a Master of Science in Dentistry and a Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry, where he also completed a Craniofacial Molecular Genetics and Stem Cell Research Fellowship Program.
In his practice, Dr. Abousheta utilizes advanced imaging systems, digital scanning, and 3D treatment modeling technologies that require high-performance computing, visual clarity, and clinical-grade reliability. His firsthand experience with modern chairside technology, imaging software, and digital patient workflows provides Cybernet with valuable insight into how medical and dental professionals rely on hardware to deliver precise, efficient, and patient-centered care.
As a Board Advisor to Cybernet, Dr. Abousheta contributes a clinical perspective on imaging-driven workflows, patient-proximity device requirements, and the evolving role of computing platforms in modern healthcare environments. His understanding of digital diagnostics, visualization tools, and technology integration helps inform Cybernet's continued development of medical-grade computing solutions.
Dr. Abousheta also serves as faculty at the University of the Pacific and is a Board Member of the California Association of Orthodontists, as well as the Academy of Orthodontic Excellence. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists and the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.
Outside the clinic, he enjoys traveling, scuba diving, and cycling.

Cybernet's product management and quality teams are directly responsible for translating customer requirements into certified, production-ready systems. From initial concept through validation, manufacturing, and lifecycle support, these teams ensure every product meets stringent performance, safety, and regulatory standards, including ISO 13485 compliance.
Michael McLeanHead of Quality Control at Cybernet Manufacturing
Michael McLean serves as Head of Quality Control at Cybernet Manufacturing and leads the company's ISO 13485:2016-certified Quality Management System.
With 29 years at Cybernet, Michael has developed a comprehensive understanding of the company's products, operations, and regulatory responsibilities. His background spans Product Service, Production Management, and Quality Assurance, giving him direct insight into field performance, manufacturing controls, and continuous process improvement.
Today, he oversees all aspects of Cybernet's quality framework, ensuring compliance with medical device regulations and statutory requirements. He works closely with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to maintain strict quality controls, support traceability, and reduce failure rates across patient-proximity medical computing platforms.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of London and is a certified ISO 13485 Lead Auditor.
Jae YunDirector of Global Product Management at Cybernet Manufacturing
Jae Yun serves as Director of Global Product Management at Cybernet Manufacturing, where he leads global product strategy and lifecycle management for the company's medical-grade and embedded computing platforms.
Since joining Cybernet in 2017, Jae has played a central role in driving product innovation from concept through commercialization. He leads cross-functional R&D initiatives, aligning engineering, regulatory, sales, and operations teams to deliver high-performance computing solutions designed for real-world clinical and industrial environments. His expertise spans regulatory compliance, system architecture, and complex mechanical and electrical integration.
Prior to Cybernet, Jae spent over a decade with a global industrial computing manufacturer, holding Product Sales and Engineering Management roles. He led international teams supporting major ODM accounts and delivered customized hardware solutions across multiple global markets.
Jae holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and completed Technical Program Management studies at UCLA Extension.
Derek LinHead of Research and Development at Cybernet Manufacturing
Derek Lin serves as Head of Research and Development at Cybernet Manufacturing and is based in the company's Taiwan facility. In this role, he acts as a key liaison between Cybernet's U.S. leadership and its engineering and manufacturing teams in Taiwan, helping coordinate product development, production, and quality efforts from early design through manufacturing.
Derek brings more than 15 years of experience in hardware and system development across notebooks, tablets, all-in-one PCs, and desktop platforms serving consumer, industrial, and medical markets. Over the past decade, he has expanded into product and project management, leading cross-functional teams and working with ODM partners to guide products from engineering development through launch and lifecycle support.
At Cybernet, Derek oversees development activities for medical all-in-one computers and tablets, manages bill-of-materials control throughout the product lifecycle, and works closely with QA teams on testing, validation, and technical issue resolution. His background in both x86 and ARM architectures allows him to bridge engineering and product management while supporting customer technical requirements.
Derek holds a Bachelor's degree in Material and Resource Engineering from National Taipei University of Technology, and earlier completed his Electrical Engineering studies at St. John's & St. Mary's Institute of Technology in Taipei.
Kevin ChenLead Engineer at Cybernet Manufacturing
Kevin Chen serves as Lead Engineer at Cybernet Manufacturing, working closely with Global Product Management to support complex customer programs from initial concept through deployment and post-launch support.
With a background in computer engineering and systems design, Kevin specializes in translating application requirements into reliable, production-ready computing solutions. He works directly with OEMs, medical device manufacturers, hospitals, and system integrators to evaluate feasibility, define system architecture, and resolve integration challenges in demanding real-world environments.
His experience spans industrial and medical computing platforms, including performance optimization, mechanical and electrical integration, and regulatory-driven design considerations. Kevin plays a critical role in bridging product development and customer implementation, ensuring solutions meet both technical specifications and operational realities.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, where he developed the analytical and hands-on engineering foundation that continues to guide his practical approach to problem solving.
