Kingsway Community Enjoys Over a Decade of Cybernet Support

Kingsway Community’s assisted living and senior care community needed a durable and reliable computer solution for documentation and recordkeeping. This is especially critical for elderly patients, who may react negatively to any change or disruption in their usual care routine. However, in 2010, Kingsway’s prior supplier went out of business, forcing them to switch to a new solution for their medical computers. At their EMR vendor’s recommendation, Kingsway contacted Cybernet Manufacturing for potential replacements. 

After consulting with Cybernet on how to best address its needs, Kingsway began with the GX45 panel PC and later upgraded to the iOne S22 and S24. Kingsway’s healthcare providers and IT team were particularly pleased with the sleek, non-intrusive design of Cybernet’s computers and how their thin profile helped prevent collisions with carts. At the same time, the silent, fanless operation helped ensure comfort for patients, which is a critical concern for treating seniors. The embedded privacy screen installed by Cybernet was greatly appreciated, as it helps ensure HIPAA compliance and prevents unauthorized users from peeking at sensitive health information. 

Since their initial adoption in 2010, Cybernet computers have been Kingsway’s go-to solution for medical documentation and record-keeping. Out of over three hundred different devices used at their campus, Cybernet’s computers have required the fewest service calls, a fact that Kingsway’s IT team deeply appreciates. The easy ordering process and extended warranty options are also appreciated, ensuring that Kingsway will continue to operate Cybernet devices for the foreseeable future.
